Benelli 125 BKX (1972)

The Benelli 125 BKX motorcycle was manufactured in 1972 and had a two-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 169.65 cc/10.3 cu in. It had a bore x stroke of 60 x 60 mm and a compression ratio of 8.0:1. The cooling system was air-cooled and it had a 22mm Dell’Orto carburetor for induction. The ignition was flywheel magneto and the battery was a 6V. The motorcycle had a kick start and a 4-speed transmission with the final drive being through a chain.

The frame was made of duplex tubular steel, with a Marzocchi telescopic fork for the front suspension and twin Marzocchi shocks for the rear suspension. The brakes on both the front and rear were drum brakes. The wheelbase was 1270mm/50in and the seat height was 812mm/32in, while the ground clearance was 235mm/9.25in. The front tire was 2.75-19, and the rear tire was 3.00-19. It had a fuel capacity of 10L/2.6US gal and could reach a top speed of 80 km/h/50 mph.
