Laverda 1000 V6 (1977-78)

The Laverda 1000 V6 motorcycle was produced from 1977 to 1978 and featured a four-stroke, 90-degree V6 cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder. With a capacity of 995.5 cc and a bore x stroke of 65 x 50 mm, the engine was cooled by a liquid cooling system and had induction from 6X 30mm Dell’Orto FRD carbs. The ignition was electronic F1 and the bike had an electric starting system. The Laverda 1000 V6 was capable of producing a maximum power of 140 hp / 104.3 kW at 11800 rpm and attained a top speed of 285 km/h. Transmission was through a 5-speed gearbox, and the final drive was achieved using a chain mechanism. The front suspension consisted of telescopic forks, while the rear suspension used a single shock. The bike had front and rear disc brakes and weighed 200 kg.
