Sanglas 500 S2 V5 (1979-81)

The Sanglas 500 S2 V5 was a motorcycle produced between 1979 and 1981 by Spanish manufacturer Sanglas. It was the fifth and final version of the Sanglas 500 model. Powered by a 498cc four-stroke engine, the motorcycle had a top speed of 150 km/h and could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. It featured a five-speed gearbox and a chain drive. The frame was made of steel tubes and the suspension was a telescopic fork in the front and dual shocks in the rear. The wheels were spoked and had disc brakes on both the front and rear. The fuel tank had a capacity of 22 liters and the weight of the motorcycle was 210 kg. The design of the bike was sporty and modern for its time, with a fairing that covered the instrument panel and headlight. The seat was longer and wider than previous versions of the Sanglas 500, making it more comfortable for riders. Overall, the Sanglas 500 S2 V5 was a reliable and powerful motorcycle that was popular in Spain during its production years. It is now a sought-after classic bike among collectors.
