The Yamaha XV750 Special motorcycle was made from 1981 to 1984 with a four-stroke, 75-degree V-twin cylinder, SOHC engine. It had a capacity of 748cc with a bore x stroke of 83 x 69.2 mm and air-cooling. The compression ratio was 8.7:1, with 2 valve per cylinder and 2 x 40mm Hitachi carburetors for its induction.
