The Ducati 175 Americano was a popular motorcycle model produced between the years 1957 and 1960. The engine was a four stroke, single cylinder, SOHC with a capacity of 174.5 cc and 2 valves per cylinder. The bike was air cooled and used a Dell’Orto MB22B carburetor for induction. With a compression ratio of 7:1, the bike had a maximum power output of 8.2 kW (11 hp) at 7500 rpm. The clutch was multi wet plate while the transmission had a 4 speed option. The final drive was chain and the bike had a maximum speed of 110 km/h (68 mph).
