Hesketh Vampire (1982-83)

The Hesketh V1000 Vampire was a motorcycle produced for two years, from 1982 to 1983. It had a four-stroke V-twin, 4 valve per cylinder engine with a capacity of 992cc/60.5cu-in, and an air-cooling system. The compression ratio was 9.5:1, and it had 2x 36mm Dell’Orto carburetors and Lucas Rita electronic ignition. The maximum power was 82hp/61 kW at 6800 rpm, and the maximum torque was 105Nm/78 lb-ft at 5400 rpm. The transmission had 5 speeds, while the final drive was through a chain. The front suspension had Marzocchi telescopic forks, while the rear suspension had Marzocchi air with a spring preload.
