Honda CB450 Four (1967-68)

The Honda CB450 Four motorcycle was produced from 1967 to 1968 and was equipped with a four-stroke, parallel twin-cylinder engine with a capacity of 445 cc. It had a compression ratio of 9.0:1 and was cooled by air. The bike utilized 2x 32mm Keihin carburetors, coil with auto-advance ignition and twin contact breaker starting. The maximum power output was recorded at 45 hp and 32.8 kW at 9000 rpm, with maximum torque of 37.4 Nm and 27.6 lb-ft at 7000 rpm. The bike came with a 5-speed transmission and a chain final drive. The frame of the bike was a tubular semi-duplex cradle with a single down tube. Both the front and rear suspensions had dampening shock absorbers, and the rear suspension was a swing arm with adjustable preload. The front and rear brakes were both drum brakes. The bike had a wheelbase of 1300 mm and weighed 187 kg dry, with a fuel capacity of 14 litres.
