Honda CX 650 Custom (1979-83)

The Honda CX 650 Custom motorcycle was produced from 1979 to 1983. It had a four-stroke longitudinal 800 V-twin cylinder engine with a camshaft nestled at the base of the V between the cylinders. The engine was OHV and had four valves per cylinder, which were operated by pushrods. The bike had a capacity of 673 cc and a bore x stroke of 82.5 x 63 mm. It had a liquid cooling system and a compression ratio of 9.8:1. The induction system consisted of 2x 39mm Keihin carburetors and the ignition was CDI. The bike had a maximum power output of 64 hp at 8000 rpm and a maximum torque of 61 Nm at 6500 rpm. The transmission was five-speed and the final drive was via a shaft. The front suspension featured 39 mm air-adjustable forks with a leading axle, and the rear suspension consisted of dual shocks with adjustable spring preload. The front brake was a single disc and the rear brake was a drum. The front and rear tires were 100/90-18 and 120/90-18, respectively. The wet weight of the bike was 215 kg, and the fuel capacity was 12.5 liters.
