The Kawasaki Versys 1000 (2017-18) is a four-stroke, transverse four-cylinder motorcycle with a capacity of 1043cc/63.6 cu-in. With a maximum power of 86.8 kW / 118 hp @ 9000 rpm and a maximum torque of 102 Nm / 10.4 kg-fm @ 7700 rpm, it has a compression ratio of 10.3:1 and forced lubrication, wet sump lubrication. The fuel injection is A,38 mm x 4 (Keihin) with oval sub-throttles and digital CBI ignition that starts electrically. Both provide up to 150 mm/5.9 in of wheel travel.

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 has dual front discs measuring 300 mm with four-piston calipers and a single rear 250 mm disc with a one-piston caliper.
