Maico Consul (1938-39)

The Maico Consul was a motorcycle produced in 1938-39, equipped with a single-cylinder, two-stroke engine and a capacity of 143cc. Its power output was 5.5 hp at 5200 rpm, and it had a maximum speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). The fuel system used a Greatzin carburetor with a single chrome silencer for the exhaust. The bike had a double closed tube frame and steel, laced wire spoke wheels with 2.50 x 19 inch tires. The front and rear brakes were both drum brakes, and the bike weighed 85 kg (187 lbs). The bike had a 3-speed, manual transmission and a chain for final drive. The starting mechanism was either a kick or push. The Maico Consul was a classic motorcycle, and its design and specifications have now become a source of inspiration for modern designers.
