Maico Enduro 250 (1979)

The Maico Enduro 250 was a 1979 motorcycle with a powerful single cylinder, two stroke engine with a capacity of 247 cc and a compression ratio of 12:1. It utilized a pre-mix lubrication system and a Bing V54/II 36 mm fuel system. The Motoplat electronic ignition ensured smooth starting with a kick. The motorcycle had a wet, multi-disc clutch and a 5-speed transmission with chain final drive. The frame was a double loop backbone box Chrom Moly design with Maico hydraulic air assisted conventional fork, 38 mm front suspension with a travel of 255 mm, and swingarm rear suspension with Corte Cosso reservoir shocks and also a travel of 255 mm. It had drum brakes with a front and rear size of 135 mm and 158 mm, respectively. The Maico Enduro 250 rested on alloy wheels with wire spokes and had a wheelbase of 1422 – 1470 mm and ground clearance of 300 mm. The seat height was 910 mm and the dry weight of the bike was 96 kg.
