Sunbeam Model 6 Lion (1921-37)

The Sunbeam Model 6 “Lion” motorcycle was manufactured from 1921 to 1937 with an air-cooled, single-cylinder, side valve engine that had a capacity of 492 cc. The compression ratio was 5.0:1 and it had a single exhaust with kick starting, producing 3.4 kW / 4.5 hp power. The transmission was a 3-speed wide ratio with a final drive via chain. The frame was a single downtube cradle and it had Druid forks for the front suspension and rigid spring-loaded saddle for the rear. The front and rear brakes were drums, and the wheels were steel with laced wire spokes. The standard tyres were 3.25 x 26″ but an optional 3.50 x 26″ was available.
