The Yamaha SR500 was a four-stroke, single cylinder motorcycle produced from 1980-1983. It had a 499cc capacity, with a 2 valves per cylinder system and a 34mm Mikuni VM34SS carburetor. The engine provided a max power of 31.5 hp and a torque of 36.3 Nm, and the bike had a 5-speed transmission with a chain final drive.
