Yamaha XT 250T (1984-87)

The Yamaha XT 250T was a four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4 valve motorcycle that was produced between 1984 to 1987. It had a 249cc capacity with a bore and stroke of 73mm and 59.6mm respectively. The bike was air-cooled with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and had carburetors for induction. It operated with CDI ignition and starting was by kick. The Yamaha XT 250T’s maximum power was 27 hp/20.1 kW at 9000 rpm with a maximum torque of 2.2 kgf-m/15.9 lb-ft at 7500 rpm. The transmission had five speeds, and there was a chain final drive. The front suspension was 35mm Kayaba air-assisted forks, while the rear suspension was a monoshock. It had a single disc for its front brakes and a drum for its rear brakes. The front and rear tyres were 3.00-21 and 4.60-18 respectively. The dry weight of this motorcycle was 113 kg/249 lbs, and the fuel capacity was 8.9 litres/2.3 US gal.
